The OxWell 2025 Survey
The survey is for primary school Years 5 and 6 and secondary schools Years 7-13. OxWell aims to better understand the mental health and wellbeing of school students by:
■ Asking about their worries and how they might like to receive support.
■ Providing schools and services with information about what young people want and supporting positive change by providing insights into young people’s lives and experiences.
New OxWell Data Platform: OxHub
Secondary schools, who took part in OxWell 2025, can now access their data online via our new online digital platform OxHub.
Schools will be able to compare their results to the whole OxWell study and other schools (without being able to directly identify which schools these are), and potentially identify areas where pupils most need support.

What Topics are Covered?
The main survey covers core topics and there are additional topics which are optional.
Questions are about sleep, anxiety, low mood, bullying, social media use and mental health support.
The survey is approved by the University of Oxford Research Ethics Committee (R62366/RE017).

If you work in statutory services or the voluntary sector and would like to explore what our findings can tell you, we’d love to hear from you. Email us at oxwell@psych.ox.ac.uk and let us know the specific question or topic you’re interested in.
We’re also hosting an online session on 11 November 2025, from 16:00 to 17:00, where we’ll share key insights and answer your questions about the newest OxWell results.
